  1. Child Development Centres

    There are 4 Child Development Centres (CDCs) within the city of Birmingham, managed by the Children and Families Division, within Inclusion Services.

  2. Child Health Information System (West Midlands)

    Working in partnership with NHS England, colleagues within the children and families division of BCHC, other NHS organisations and the local authority, the child health department provides administrative and information services to universal nursing services and GP Practices throughout the city.

    The service is for all children who are in the care of Birmingham Local Authority. The service will also see children placed in Birmingham from other authorities.

  4. Children's Complex Care

    Home-based specialist care and support to children and young people with life limiting and/or long-term, complex conditions.

  5. Children's Nutrition and Dietetic Service

    We provide nutrition services across Birmingham for conditions including diabetes, malnutrition, stomach and digestive problems, allergies, food sensitivity and obesity.

  6. Children's Rapid Response Service

    Aims to prevent children and young people with acute illness or deterioration in their condition from being admitted to hospital or attending A&E.

  7. Chronic Kidney Disease Service (CKD)

    The service provides management of chronic kidney disease (CKD) where kidney function is moderately or severely reduced. Services offered include patient and professional education.

  8. Clinical Illustration

    We are a specialised service experienced in working with patients and service users. We work closely with healthcare professionals associated with the delivery of care.

  9. Community Children's Nurses and Palliative Care

    The service works to enable children with life-limiting or life threatening conditions to be cared for at home.

  10. Community Nursing Service

    The adult Community Nursing Service and Integrated Multi-Disciplinary Team (IMT) provides nursing assessment and treatment to patients who are unable to leave their home.

  11. Community Paediatrics

    We provide assessment, diagnosis, management and treatment to children and young people where there are concerns regarding a child’s development.

    Specialist, multi-disciplinary rehabilitation for people in their own home or community setting following a recent stroke.
